This Privacy Policy explains how BoatShowAvenue collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit or use our website, marketplace, accounts, listings, messages, advertising, valuation tools, and related services.
1. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide, information generated when you use the service, and information received from service providers and marketplace participants.
Information you provide

- Messages and support: inquiries, conversation content, attachments, support requests, and communication preferences.
- Transaction information: purchases, subscriptions, marketplace credits, advertising campaigns, payment status, billing references, and related records. Payment-card details are generally collected and processed by our payment processor rather than stored by BoatShowAvenue.

- saved listings, recently viewed items, and interface preferences stored in your browser or account.
Information from others
We may receive information from dealers, brokers, builders, listing feeds, public sources, identity or fraud-prevention providers, payment processors, communications providers, advertising partners, and other users. A user may provide your information when naming you as a representative or sending you a marketplace inquiry.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the marketplace and account features;
- publish listings and profiles and connect buyers with sellers, dealers, brokers, builders, and service providers;
- deliver messages, alerts, support responses, transactional notices, and requested communications;
- process payments, subscriptions, credits, advertising, refunds, and accounting records;
- operate search, comparison, saved-item, planning, calculation, valuation, and recommendation tools;
- verify accounts and content, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect users and systems;
- measure performance, troubleshoot errors, conduct research, and develop features;
- market the service where permitted and measure campaign effectiveness; and
- comply with law, respond to legal requests, resolve disputes, and establish or defend legal claims.
3. Legal bases where applicable
Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following: performing a contract with you, taking steps you request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the marketplace, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
4. How we share information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Marketplace participants: listing, profile, and inquiry information may be shared with or displayed to buyers, sellers, dealers, brokers, builders, representatives, and service providers as needed for the interaction you request.
- Service providers: vendors may process information for hosting, storage, security, payments, email, SMS, customer support, maps, analytics, advertising, content delivery, artificial-intelligence tools, and other operations. They are permitted to use information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their contracts and applicable law.
- Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, enforce agreements, or respond to a lawful government request.
- Business transfers: information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, insolvency, or similar transaction.
- With your direction or consent: we may share information when you ask us to or clearly authorize the sharing.
Public listing and profile information can be viewed, copied, indexed by search engines, or shared by others. Do not publish information that you want to keep private.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
BoatShowAvenue and its providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, save marketplace activity, protect the service, understand usage, and support advertising or measurement. Browser settings can block or delete some of these technologies, but doing so may cause parts of the service to stop working as intended.
6. Artificial-intelligence and automated tools
When you use a valuation or other AI-assisted feature, the information you submit and relevant listing context may be sent to a contracted AI provider to generate a response. Do not submit sensitive personal information or confidential transaction information to these tools. AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as a survey, appraisal, financial decision, or professional advice.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and transaction records, meet legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it is processed. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies you.
8. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting your account credentials.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, or to appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also have the right to opt out of certain targeted advertising, profiling, sharing, or sale as those terms are defined by applicable law.
You can update many account details through the dashboard. You can manage optional email through the unsubscribe link in a message and can control cookies through your browser. To submit another privacy request, use the contact page or the support center. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. You may use an authorized agent where applicable.
BoatShowAvenue will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right provided by law. If we deny a request, you may have the right to appeal or contact your local data-protection authority.
10. International data transfers
BoatShowAvenue and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for cross-border transfers. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between jurisdictions.
11. Children's privacy
BoatShowAvenue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it. A higher age threshold may apply in some jurisdictions.
12. Third-party sites and services
Links and integrations may lead to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. Review those policies before providing personal information.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. We will provide additional notice of material changes where reasonably required.
14. Contact
Questions or requests concerning this Privacy Policy can be submitted through the contact page. Account holders can also use the support center.
